Kathleen Murphy Toms directs digital strategy and community engagement for GivingTuesday. Before joining the GivingTuesday team, she led Illinois’ statewide giving day, #ILGive.
Kathleen teaches nonprofits how to raise awareness, change minds, engage hearts, open wallets, and rally people to action. Her past experience includes community organizing with several political campaigns in Chicago, fundraising and innovation consulting for nonprofits, and director of communications at Forefront, Illinois’ statewide social impact association. Kathleen is on the board of directors of EPIC - Engaging Philanthropy, Inspiring Creatives and the associate board of New Moms.
